Kate Webb, born and raised in Bountiful, has been studying the piano for 20 years. She graduated with a Masters degree in Piano Performance from the University of Utah in 2016. She has received numerous Superior ratings for her performances at National Federation of Music Festivals, was a winner in the collegiate division of the SummerArts piano competition, performed the Schumann Concerto in A minor with the SummerArts Orchestra, and won first place in the annual University Honors College Talent Show. She was accepted to the summer program at Jacob's School of Music Piano Academy at Indiana University and was tutored by pretigious pianists during lessons, master classes and lectures. As an undergrad, Kate was a scholarship recipient, and was a member of the U of U Honors College and Golden Key International Honor Society.
As a graduate student, Kate was awarded a Teaching Assistant position, taught group piano classes at the Sorenson Unity Center, and was nominated by faculty to be a part of the Red Hots performing group, which hires exceptional students to perform music for University events. As a member of the Ladies in Red, Kate has performed around the Salt Lake Valley to raise awareness for the need of music education. She has also been featured as a local artist on Highway 89.1 radio. Currently, Kate is an accompanist at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts and maintains a full piano studio of 38 students in Salt Lake City.
