Ashley is the department head for the Individualized Learning Program (ILP). Her areas of expertise include English Language Arts and the social sciences. She graduated from the University of Richmond in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education. Since then, she has taken courses in special education, English Language Arts, and the social sciences from various local institutions.
Ashley has played just about every role in the classroom in her more than ten years of working in schools. She has worked as a paraprofessional serving ELL and special education students as well as general elementary education. She has also served as a substitute teacher and an after-school mentor for students of all grade levels. Ashley is excited for the opportunity to be a teacher in her own classroom, and can’t wait to start creating a positive change in the world.
When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, playing the flute, dancing, and cooking.
