The Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts was approved by the Salt Lake City School District as a new charter high school for students who are passionate about the Performing Arts; Music, Theatre or Dance. The school opened in the Fall of 2006 and is located on the campus of Highland High School. SLHSPA students attend their traditional core classes at Highland High School and their performing arts related classes at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts on the Highland High School campus.
There are no tryouts, no auditions and no tuition! The final student body is selected through an open enrollment process and lottery. Please explore our website for more information about our school.
We are a public charter school. Grant monies have become increasingly scarce. We appreciate any and all donations.
