Theatre Conservatory Auditions
Auditions for Theatre Conservatory will be May 1, 2. Auditions will require 2 contrasting monologues – one classical, one contemporary. Time limit for the entire audition is 3 minutes. Group audition will follow at callbacks.
Theatre Contract and audition packet available in April.
You must have completed the following pre-requisites:
Acting III/IV, Voice for the Actor (may be taken concurrently next year only), must be a Junior or Senior in fall 2012.
You must have completed or be currently enrolled in:
Movement for Theatre, Acting Seminar, Directing
The following will also be required of Theatre Conservatory students:
Minimum GPA 2.5 (overall) Minimum GPA SLSPA 3.0
You cannot be failing any classes 3rd or 4th term of this year or during your year in Conservatory.
Seniors, you cannot be more than .5 credits behind in graduation credits at the start of fall semester. All packets must be complete by August 15. Of the outstanding .5 credits, a minimum of .25 of that credit must be made up 1st term and the remaining .25 made up by the end of 2nd term.
If you are interested in being a Conservatory Officer, you must bring a typed, one paragraph (min.) Statement of Intent outlining what office you would like to run for and what you plan to accomplish as officer. Include your name on paper.
*All auditioneers should come with a typed, one page document outlining why you want to be a member of Conservatory and what you hope to achieve and contribute as a Theatre Conservatory member.
Conservatory will meet before school starts on August 15, 16, 17, from 10-3.
