Parent Teacher Volunteers WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please respond to Hollie (hnewman-napier@saltlakespa.org) or Carrie Morgan (cmorgan@saltlakespa.org) if you can volunteer for one of the following committees. Committees will meet at least once a month after each Parent Teacher Volunteer (PTV) meeting. . Dance Committee:Do you have a student passionate about dance?Can you volunteer a couple of hours a month to help support SPA’s terrific dance department?This committee works with the head of the dance department at SPA to facilitate productions, off site activities, competitions, field trips, etc.Joins with other committees to organize teacher appreciation activities and support fundraising/PR opportunities.
Theater Committee: Is your student into theater?This committee works directly with the head of the theater department to facilitate productions, off site activities, competitions, field trips, etc.Collaborates with other committees to organize teacher appreciation activities and support fundraising/PR opportunities.
Music Committee: Does your student love playing music?This committee works directly with the head of the music department atSPA to facilitate productions, off site activities, competitions, field trips, etc.Collaborates with other committees to organize teacher appreciation activities and support fundraising/PR opportunities.
Event Committee: Can you volunteer a few hours to help with SPA registration or help to sell concessions before a SPA production or chaperone a prom?A few hours of help can make a difference.This committee works directly with office staff, Artistic Director and Business Manager to support SPA events including: registration, back to school night, concessions at SPA productions, parent/teacher conferences, chaperones at various school dances/proms, new student orientation, etc.
PR Committee: Can you help us ‘sell’ SPA to prospective students and our community?Do you have a PR background or have knowledge in PR media?This committee works with SPA Business Manager and Artistic Director to increase awareness of SPA both to internal and external customers.In general, PR is targeted toward recruiting quality students to SPA and creating positive brand awareness conveying the unique benefits of SPA both within SPA and Highland and in the community at large.PR opportunities could include newspaper and local TV/radio spotlights as well as Facebook, Twitter, SPA website, Blog, etc.
Development Committee: Help us expand the opportunities at SPA for your student!This committee works closely with SPA Board representative, Business Manager and Artistic Director to host fundraising activities, including an annual Gala currently scheduled for March 26th.Other activities could include annual Carolathon, linking SPA to local grocery store rewards cards, SPA clothing sale, advertisements from local merchants, etc.
